a day in the life of someone interesting...

no, wait...  this is MY journal...  Nevermind...   ^_^;

its been a while since i have updated.... again :P but here i am. no real injuries save for a scraped up knee... so physically i'm good. my computer problems remain unchanged but the system is at the moment, stable... Work remains the same old grind... not much changes there...

So why, you ask, am I making this update? Is it because one of my room mates told me I should or something else altogether? well, okay yes Dan mentioned i should update it, but even more importantly, I have news....

dramatic news...

but most importantly...

GOOD news.

As I'm sure most of you know, I've been putting a little extra OOMPH into my artwork to get my list clear by the new year. what madness is the kitty plotting now? Simple. I've spoken with my boss at work, and i asked to have my shifts cut back a bit.

the reason? I'm taking my art to the next level. I'm going to turn my freelancing into my full time job for at least a little while. I'm not leaving my current job just in case things don't work out as i well as I anticipate.

I'm doing this to test the waters. to see if i really CAN dedicate myself to my art, and more importantly, whether or not i can make what i love into a living. keep watching my journals. here, on DA, and on FA. I'll be posting more on this soon.

squeeziehugs for all!! *runs around tackle glomping all his buddies*

BE WELL!!

^_^ "just a kitty"

an almighty's attempt on my nine lives.

Well, for those of you who know me, or can at least see my avatar... you know that my person/fursona online is a common household feline.... felis domesticus.... a cat. and as such are privy to the "nine lives" mythos.

now for those of you who REALLY know me... you know that i only have about 6 of those lives left. after the last week or so... and tonight. I'm down to 4. someone up there wants my hide...

some of you already know about my run in at 7-11 a week ago. some drunk idiot driving impaired, with no insurance or liscence gets into an accident... and after a brief argument with the guy he hit.... (a truck that was parked there before i even went into the store.) He gets back in his car, swings forward so fast he almost hit me full on with his car. I was so close i could have put my hands on his hood. fortunately i have good reflexess and i lept ack against the wall of the building as he quickly occupied the spot i was standing and run a wheel up and over one of the long parking stones. then he quickly whipped back hit the truck AGAIN and then tore off almost hitting 2 other people in his escape.

now the best part of that night, was there was 5-7 witnesses. so between all of us we had car type, liscense plate, and his physical description down to damn near what cologne he had on. it was no longer a matter of IF he got causght so much as WHEN. He didn't even last a half hour, before the police had him in custody. Mistress Karma smiles on everyone tonight.... save for that guy...

now this is news on the home front for TONIGHT. on my way home from work i have to cross a bridge that has a turn off for the highway at the end of it. normally not an issue, i shoulder check for traffic that might be turning and i'm good.... well tonight decided to mix things up a bit. I was nearing the end of the bridge, shoulder checked and there was a few cars... 3 to be exact. the lead car was in the left lane and the other 2 behind him a bit in the center lane. okay, right lane is clear... nobody turning... so i start crossing to the other side of this off ramp as i normally do.

well the guy in the lead car must have realized that he was missing his turn, because without even so much as SIGNALING, he cuts of the cars in the center lane and came screaming in so fast i barely saw him in my periferral(sp?) vision. so i whipped my bike back to the right side of the road to NOT get killed, and this schmuck STILL clipped me. sent my bike skidding off to the side with me on it. Again my reflexes save my ass... I'm good on a bicycle... well balanced and most importantly, I know how to EJECT the bike out from under me if it means saving my tail. So that's what i ended up doing. UNFORTUNATELY while trying to press "X" not to die, i was unable to get a lisence plate. FORTUNATELY... remember the cars he cut off? appearantly he didn't check his shoulder either... when he cut them he failed to realize that the 3rd car.... was a police car. A police car who very quickly threw on his lights and seeing as i was alright went into IMMEDIATE persuit. Who says that they're never there when you need them...

so if every CLOSE CALL in my life is one life down... I'm now down to 4.

I'd best use them wisely.
